Equinex: School of Horsemanship ~ An Equestrian School RPG .:. Rules

Rules

1. NO Godmodding or Powerplaying is allowed! This rule is in place for competitions and if there happens to be a fight.
2. A small amount of cursing is allowed but do not swear to excess.

Also no use of the F Word is allowed on site.
You are not permitted to use any foul language toward anyone out of character.

3. Animal applications will not be accepted. This RP is meant for humans to be roleplayed only.
4. Be respectful of admins and other members.

Remember what the admin says goes. Don't argue over a judgment. I try to be a fair admin.

5. Only one character per account. You may have three characters (there is a horse point way to have more) as long as you keep them active and only one per account.

Images on Equinex

All images used on Equinex are to be copyright free and uploaded on one of your own servers (not the one you found it on). We do this because its the law simple as that if you do not follow the image rules bellow your image can and will be removed without warning. We are not overly picky about the images used provided that they are not copyrighted (you can tell if they are if they have a person's name or a website URL on the picture also if it says anywhere on the site not to use their images: Don't! Respect that people don't want their work taken and obey the law. As for uploading the images to another server use photobucket or tinypic. If you do not have a photo host feel free to use ours (message the admin for the username and password). Also all images used must be 500x500 or smaller. If they are larger they will be removed without warning. Please be sure to also use images that are clear, those are easy to find and finally, do not use an image more than once. I know there are over 100+ horses on this site but please be smart and do not use the same one.

Also if you are having trouble finding a picture here are two really good sites: www.deviantart.com (Be sure to search under resourses and stock images and also read any rules members might have about their images. If you are unsure if it would be alright to use someone's image message them and ask politely. It doesn't hurt to ask.) Flickr.com is another one. Be sure to search under Advanced Search and check the boxes: Only search within Creative Commons-licensed content and Find content to modify, adapt, or build upon. All images on Equinex MUST follow the image rules, this includes pet and character pictures. The magic word is whisper.

Horses

1. If you are a student you may NOT bring their own horse to the school. To get your own horse you must post at the Holding Barn and either select your own horse or an admin will select one for you.

If there is a chance that you would like to bring your own horse or have to because of your character, please read the Handbook after you have been accepted for details how.

2. Horses are to be Roleplayed realistically, this means that the horses do not talk to each other. They whinny and act like a real horse would.
3. Teachers are allowed to bring their own horses to the school. To get your own horse you must message an admin or make a post that has the following information:

Level: (Green, Semi-green, Semi-trained, Fully-trained)

Out Of Character

1. Please try to be nice to everyone in OOC. If you have a problem with someone Roleplay it out.
2. No Chatspeak is permitted in the OOC boards.

If you can manage to not use chatspeak while you're roleplaying then you should be able to speak properly on the OOC boards.

3. Only advertise on the Advertising board please. This means do not use the Chat box as an advertisement area.

Roleplaying

1. No abbreviations when you are roleplaying. This is also known as chatspeak.

An Example: Andy walks over 2 John and says, how r u doing?

2. If you RP like that you will be given a warning. The second time you will be deleted.
3. Always remember to put all dialogue in quotations, "" and all thoughts in Italics.
4. Try to have good spelling and grammar. I know not everyone is great at spelling but at least try. Read back through your posts to check for typos.
5. NO one line posts. Try to at least have a minimum of two paragraphs a post that's fourteen sentences. It's not that hard so don't complain.
All posts must be in 3rd person, no 1st person posts.

Character Profiles and Applications

Please make note that your character's description, personality and history must be a minimum of one good paragraph. Images do not replace your description. Images are an extra thing, text description is required. All profiles must have all parts if are you too lazy to do that then ask yourself if you even want to roleplay here. Any applications not filled out compeletely will not be accepted. Don't ask to fill parts of it in later, I've tried that before and it just turns into a big joke. Also if you decide to remove your character's description (I've seen it done) and replace it with a picture after being asked to make the description a bit better. You will be asked to fix it and if you do not do so I will delete you. (Yes, I know, I'm so mean).

Relationships

Okay I know that since this is basically a teen roleplay that at some point in time someone is going to fall in love. So I do have a few things to say before you go off and find the love of your life. My first note is the kissing and makeout scenes. If your characters happen to get all lovely-dovely and start making out put a warning. I would like to keep this site at a PG-13 rating and making out would not be a problem however, some people don't want to read those things so please just put a warning in the title. That way everyone is happy. Okay? Secondly, the subject of sex. If you must, play the lights off - lights on game (or lights off - next day) If anyone dares to roleplay sex on any of the boards or through messages you will be deleted forever. That is rated M material and is not meant for this site. Okay? If you have to roleplay it out use emails or your IM. There's the easy way to keep yourself happy.
That is all.

What is Active?

Remember you must be active to be on this site simple as that. What is active to this admin? Active, is posting (roleplaying) at least once every five days, being active in contests, voting, and whatever things that effect the site. Active does not mean joining, then coming on a week later to create a profile and then another week to get a horse and then roleplay whenever you decide you feel like it. I wouldn't do that if I was you.

If you are inactive (not on) for two weeks your name will be added to an inactive list, if you do not post within a week of your name being added then say goodbye. Your character will be put up for adoption and your account delected unless you inform an admin that you will be missing and for how long.
